Room with No Walls
What happens when the present, past, and future become one, and each moment contains them all?
This novel, the third in the Chronicles of Space and Thyme series, is about people who appear to have nothing in common and are thrown together in an unlikely setting–a Midwestern welding shop. The welding shop serves as a metaphor for the task at hand. But twists of karmic fate and past-life encounters have intertwined the lives of the major characters. Two divinity school dropouts in search of spiritual direction, a Vietnam vet, an attractive Human Resources director, and a Taiwanese business magnate.
They travel through time in a struggle to forgive the unforgivable and find closure by revisiting places where events and circumstances once destroyed them. The book orbits around San Francisco, spiritual seeds sown in the sixties, and Chaska, Minnesota. This makes it nostalgic of the Summer of Love and Woodstock, yet still relevant today. With the country currently riding a wave of spiritual direction, the tenets woven into this drama offer readers esoteric themes, such as dream meanings, deja vu, reincarnation stories, out-of-body experiences enables them to view their own lives from a more expanded perspective.

“Just when you think you have it all figured out, someone like D. E. Munson comes along and scatters your image to the four winds. It’s worth a look to see how very deep the roots of your life may go.” — Debbie Johnson, Author, Exploring Past Lives to Heal the Present; and Dreams–Your Window to Heaven
“Impressive . . . well-written, a good plot, interesting characters, and a distinctive richness thanks to the interplay between the Chaska present and Indian past.” — Charles Patterson, Ph.D., Author, Editor, Last Rites, and Eternal Treblinka: Our Treatment of Animals and the Holocaust

“I really enjoyed Room With No Walls. I’m a big Vonnegut fan and was delighted to find similarities in style between Mr. Vonnegut and D. E. Munson. I liked this book so much, I’ve given a copy of the manuscript to my friend Dom DeLuise to read.“ — Dr. Michael Stern
“Room With No Walls gave me insight into how history repeats itself intimately in the details of one’s life.
